Somerset Ryū Karate joins JKS England
We are please to announce that Somerset Ryū Karate has joined the JKS! We welcome them to our family.
Sensei Peter Milne started the Dojo in October 2013 - and it’s been a great adventure ever since
He is currently a Sandan, passing in 2016 following Shodan in 2011 and Nidan in 2013, all with the KUGB.
Peter originally started karate at the age of 14 in 1995, as a member of Tiverton Shotokan Karate Club in Devon, eventually leaving for university as a 1st Kyu in 1999. He was a member of the strong Tiverton squad for many years.
Peter now teaches karate full-time and has coached members to National and International standard, with many notable accolades along the way. The club are also about to open a brand new permanent dojo in Wellington, Somerset, and we’re really excited about joining the JKS and all it has to offer.
Please welcome Peter and his club to our association, and make sure to visit them if you are in the area.
